Life has been tough for the Saliković siblings since their mother was hospitalised. Heartbroken and worried about the sleepwalking escapades of their youngest brother (who is definitely not a zombie!), the four kids and their father seek comfort in nature. But what was meant to be a peaceful weekend at their grandparents’ countryside homestead quickly turns into an unexpected adventure.
From rescuing their missing cat and saving honeybees to adopting a storm orphan and helping their grandfather search for the greatest treasure of all — the journey is full of challenges, hope, and courage. What keeps them going are the timeless tales and trials of the most radiant human in the universe.
Adapted from the unforgettable stories originally written in Bosnian by Salko Omerbegović, the Children of Salik Series beautifully weaves together the lives of four siblings, a deep love for nature, and the timeless stories that Muslim children around the world grow up with.
